A week of forging in the SC heat and humidity.
While I have spent the last few weeks deep into the knives, I decided this past week to reset and get the forge going again. I started with a goal to forge one new thing daily and also to get the coal forge going as well.
Compact Carry Knives and More this week. Rucking, Fishing and Brews!
Busy, busy week. My fishing buddies are back to work, so that means I can get some work done. I had no idea that when they took a vacation it meant I was taking one too. However, it feels good to be back in the shop and getting some work done.
So it begins... Summer and the knives with it that come with it.
Summer has begun, but considering the temps here in the upstate of South Carolina, it began a few weeks ago. It has made for some sweaty days, but also some great times in the shop. Some knives are being made and items forged almost daily. Lots of cold beverages, although more water than brews, are being downed.
The Blade Show prep and aftermath.
The weeks leading up to Blade Show have been nothing short of Chaotic! With NRA Show a few weeks back, then the annual trek to the 100th Running of the Indy 500, and then trying to get some knives done before Blade Show life has been a bit rushed.
Knives, shop build and some adventuring.
It feels good to be back. With all the chaos from Shot Show and just getting situated after the new year, finding time to get in the shop has been scarce. Although with the weather turning and it being more enjoyable to be outside, I figured it was time to dust the blog off and make some stuff.
