Hammers, Tools and even some knives to end a great March.
March is almost reached the end and what a crazy month it has been here in the shop. So many projects and working on getting them done. Hammers were made, several people coming through to check out the shop and even managed to get a few knives ground out. Some things may be changing here in the short-term which will bring about a reduction in time in the shop, but it should set me up better for the long-term goals as well.
Cooler days, more knives, and the Jam..
I have got to enjoy a cooler past two weeks here in the shop, which has been very nice. Among the usual knives and forging of things, pepper season is here. So while I manage orders, I'll be switching gears a bit as I harvest from the garden of doom, begin to can the annual batches jam and dry peppers for the seasoning.
The Blade Show prep and aftermath.
The weeks leading up to Blade Show have been nothing short of Chaotic! With NRA Show a few weeks back, then the annual trek to the 100th Running of the Indy 500, and then trying to get some knives done before Blade Show life has been a bit rushed.
Blacksmithing Class is next week, but some knives and Jam to leave you with.
The weekly blog post is here! I spend a lot of time in the shop and other places prepping for last night drop. I am blown away at the support shown by everyone this week! The post office trips where many and the shop time was plenty, thanks for a great week everyone!
Bigger Knives and a Chewed Cap Mauler!
After spending most of the week working on the run openers and such, it was time to work on some knives. I've got a pretty good pile of blanks started and decided I would work on the larger models in O1 to start.
