No. 38 is finished.

Damascus Slicer WIP

Well the latest one which happens to be No. 38 got completed today. I got the scales on much cleaner than the last one, considering the etch happened prior to the epoxy, so sanding them afterward was out of the question to keep the pattern in tact. Still room to improve, and luckily I scored 4 more billets today, so some more patterned knives are definitely in the cards.   WIP Page is here: http://www.jgknives.com/pages/no-38-damascus-slicer Purchase here: http://jgknives.com/products/jg-knives-damascus-slicer?variant=1098398381

Also this is allowing me to run out my current stock of materials. Hopefully UPS and Fedex come though and I can finish these in the coming week.

Heading into the weekend...

GPK WIP

Tomorrow is Friday and in hopes of getting some stuff done this weekend, I made sure to get into the shop and get some work done. I've not worked 3 of the same model at one time, but I can see the benefit. Less fiddling with tools and more just making great progress. No. 39 is the ready for a sheath and then a sharpening. I was able to get the scales shaped and epoxied. This walnut had me a bit disappointed at first. The grain just wasn't really popping to me.
